Roundtable Writer’s Breakfast
Historical significance of Bloddy Sunday

Featuring The Honorable
Cynthia McKinney
Saturday 11 @ 10am
Room T-203
$15 - Includes Dialogue and Breakfast

Historically significant, the 1965 Selma to Montgomery march, also known as Bloody Sunday, marked the political and emotional peak of the American Civil Rights movement protesting the death of Jimmie Lee Jackson. Some 600 marchers headed east out of Selma and only got as far as the Edmund Pettus Bridge when they were attacked by state and local lawmen and thus driven back into Selma. The HONORABLE CYNTHIA McKINNEY leads a thought provoking discourse about the historical significance of Bloody Sunday in the twenty-first century. This is a breakfast not to be missed!
